EPIDEMIOLOGICAL, CLINICAL AND THERAPEUTIC PROFILE OF CUTANEOUS LEISHMANIASIS IN THE PROVINCE OF ESSAOUIRA-MOROCCO

Leishmaniasis is a group of parasitic, tropical diseases caused by flagellate protozoa belonging to the genus Leishmania. These parasites affect several mammalian species, including man, which they are transmitted bite an insect vector, sandfly. They widespread in many countries, countries Mediterranean region. In Morocco, it persistent public health problem despite development and implementation control program. Our work retroprospective study leishmaniasis cases observed Essaouira province over period 5 years (from 01/10/2016 31/12/2020). The objective this develop epidemiological, clinical therapeutic profile disease with analytical comparison other works researches. 598 cutaneous were collected no visceral leishmaniasis. age most affected one between 0-5 old 147 (25.00%) average 22.70 years.
